Education & Schools

The county is served by two public school systems: Williamson County Schools www.wcs.edu and Franklin Special School District www.fssd.org. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits all schools in both systems.

In addition, Franklin and Williamson County are home to a number of private schools, and Middle Tennessee offers numerous accredited two-year, four-year and post-graduate institutions. Columbia State Community College, Belmont University at Cool Springs, O’More College of Design, University of Phoenix – Nashville Campus located in Franklin

Battle Ground Academy, established in 1889, is the oldest private school in Williamson County. The school is a co-educational, college preparatory school serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade.  Visit us at www.battlegroundacademy.org.
